Default How can you NOT use this as your daily driver?

I dont understand how some of you are able to drive other cars (Sedans, SUV's, minvans) then cruise with the mustang on the weekend. True I have the luxury of being young and no kids. But I got stuck driving a Lexus RX300 over the weekend when I visited Home. Never had I missed my GT more than the moment when I realized that the RX300 was already near redline and I had barely moved. I'm never driving another car unless you're handcuffing me to the steering wheel. That or a BMW X5...I do make exceptions.

Mine is the daily ride as well. Maybe after a year or so I will get a little econo box for a commuter though. Maybe a focus, with a fart can so I can be "cool yo" for the kiddies in their ricers!

Being young, I've got two vehicles- my mustang and my F150. Now, there are places I go that the mustang will not- say, the town dump, to my friends down a dirt road, etc. but I have about a 35 mile commute every day, and my stang is definately the vehicle of choice. While I worry about it out in the parking lot, it makes the drive to and from work alot better. Not to mention, this is my idea of an "economy" car. I love my truck to death, and it modded and definately very sporty, but the mustang is definately more fun. I thought I got alot of attention in my red truck, but it is nothing compared to the looks in this car!

I drive my truck to work. Don't have to worry about parking it and there are just some things I need the truck for that the Mustang can't accomodate.

Drive the Mustang maybe once a week to work, but mainly on weekends and special occasions. Makes driving it even more special. I keep it covered with a Dust Cover, parked in the garage during the week. When I take the cover off every Friday evening it's like opening a new present.

Part of the reason I was able to justify to myself getting the '05 Stang was that I spend approximately 2.5 to 3 hours per day in my car commuting. If I am going to spend so much time in my car I might as well make the most of it! I used to commute in a Ford Ranger and I have to say the commute is much more tolerable in the Stang

I'm not spending as much time on the road as Doug, but my beat up pickup truck wasn't going to last long doing my new commute. My 05 is my commuter!

I drive it as my daily during the summer months.
Work is a 2 mile trip and has a lot large enough for a "nice car" row at the back.

I use my 'stang as a daily driver. I just love it and I feel it is more reliable than an xyz hooptie / ricer as daily driver. However I'm looking for a cheap used F150 / Bronco for visiting dirt road and door ding factory (Walmart parking lot).

I'd really like to drive my GT to work but I work in a sand mine and even on a calm, rainless day with just the trucks going by a coat of sand ends up on my truck. I did drive it on a saturday one time with light truck traffic and a pretty day and never again will I do that.

Yes and have driven it for eight years to there. I couldn't afford two vehicles until recently. I just maintined it well and kept a good wax coat on it at all times.

I use mine as my daily driver. I hate to put 80 miles a day on it, but.. like they say . If your going to sit in LA traffic for over an hour, you might as well enjoy it. Plus I cant afford a second car yet. I still look forward to getting into the car in the morning
