Default Thoughts on Bullitt Wheels for GT

I picked up my new GT vert last night!!

Redfire, parchment interior and top. It was special ordered for a dealer mgr, who had recently been canned, so I got the first call. It has all the upgrades (some of which I wouldn't have ordered).

The first thing I'm going to do is order the sequential tailight kit. It will remind me of the two vintage Cougars I've had.

But, I'm really not that fond of the upgraded wheels. I was wondering if anyone has bought the GT-style Bulitt wheels (in the back of the brochure), with the spinners and center caps, and put them on? Any pictures? Do you like them? How much coin?

Thanks...

I have those rims on my car. I live in Connecticut and bought them out of a Ford dealer in Texas. With shipping of about $76 dollars and wheel price of about $197 each the total was about $865. They are 17x8 with the correct 45mm offset. Someone else ordered a set recently from a local Ford dealer near him and paid about $840, so that would be the ballpark price to shoot for. Make sure they come with the Pony Spinners and lugs because I have seen some for around the same price and they just have a center cap. The other good thing about them is they seem to be coated (easier to take care of) and you can use your stock tires. I've seen my own color Windveil Blue with both the standard bullit wheel and also with the optional wheel and by far this is the wheel you want. I cannot get any photos to upload for some reason.

Default I seen a better deal on earlier forums for Bullitts.

Look up on LmPerformance.com. They have 18 x 9's for 189.00 for chrome, just put your year of Mustang on there and it will tell you what they have. Plus they a bunch of other stuff as well.

Those polished one's look pretty much like Crager S/S wheels which I have always liked, had them on my first ride a 67 Cougar over 25 years ago! It's funny how the styles have gone full circle, during the 80's and most of the 90's no one wanted five spokes, now you see factory variants on just about every new car out there.

Does anyone know if you can get Crager S/S's in an 18 x 9 with the correct offset for the front of an 05 and 19 x9 (or even better would be 19 x 10 for) the back? Please advise exactly what size off set I would need and the widdest tires I could fit on those bad boys without running into clearance problems. Thanks muchly for any input.
