What is the GEM?
I need to take this fuse out because the lights won't shut off.
But I need to know what the GEM is.
I also posted this in The V6 Lounge.
Thanks. |
GEM stands for Generic Electronics Module. The equivalent to a Body Control Module in GM/MOPAR. It controls interior lights, traction control, anti-theft, remote keyless entry, A/C controls.........depends on the options the car has. If the interior lights won't shut off, it needs to be scanned for codes the same way the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) would be, if you were having problems with the engine. You could also scan the system for codes using the instrument panel LCD displays.
