Put the money into the motor - spoilers won't make your car go fast...
But that's only my oppinion.
--- I have a paid-for $25,000+ 500hp car now; reason for selling is noise, gas mileage, & too stiff. Probably do very little performance-wise to the new one. I get a whole lot of comments on my 96 now, and it's almost always when the car is sitting still and motor off so looks remain a significant issue w/the new one. Honestly, I'm looking forward to quiet & relatively smooth w/the new one.

If you can't find a V6 trunk, have a body shop fill the holes with weld, then smooth and paint. What about the 18X9 Bullits (maybe chrome!) all the way around would look sick! If your going for looks 18s do look a little better than 17s IMO. I agree the chin spoiler is a must though. Another thing I really think looks good is side exhaust, it is kinda pricey though. If your looking to keep it quiet I would say get mid pipe or cat back, not both. I can see it... lowered...18 inch bullits... side exhaust...and black @ss tinted windows! Man it must suck to decide which stang to drive each morning.

I'll look into having spoiler holes professionally filled or replacement trunk lid - like the no spoiler idea.

The new ride, sitting in a snowy parking lot, near O'Hare Airport. The drive home to Washington, DC was reasonably painless

Was the car exactly as you expected? Hope you have fun with the new mods!

- car is actually better than I expected for the year/$$. No door dings, significant scratches, etc. Very happy w/the deal.

- I'm much less of a drag-racing fan (except maybe Nostalgia Super Stock) than most of the guys here; been there-done that. More of an F1/ALMS/Grandam fan now. Car was reasonably quick; sorry didn't have the opportunity to get a couple of decent runs in.

I removed the spoiler on my Mustang ! not really that hard !

I would not think getting the holes filled at a body shop would be that much , Fiberglass filler , topped off with Polyester filled , sanded smooth, and paint ! No welding with a fiberglass trunk !

-- car is better than I expected; 37K miles, very straight & clean. $13,500 & the plane ticket & some gas (got the original window sticker: $29,500.00); pretty decent deal.

I really like the clean look of the grille delete kits. I'm thinking that might be the first appearance mod I do on ours unless I can get the windows done over the holidays.

3-piece kit is from http://www.performancepartsinc.com/int_ext.htm
lower trim piece has 4 plastic posts that go down through apron; concept is to put these metal lock clips on the post to hold it down but virtually impossible w/o breaking posts. Their suggestion was to use some 3M tape. Trim piece is also held in by 2 upper tabs.
Other sources: (there are both 2-piece kits & 3-piece kits)

I like the cleaner look as well

Default Okay, getting started now

Changes: 8" antenna, Mach I grille delete kit, and high-end professional detailing. They were able to get out almost all of the marks in the black paint from continued visits to some car wash. Expensive but impressive to be sure. Pics include motor before/after - nothing you can't do in your driveway; just takes time (and temps above freezing!) Next up: Baer brakes front & rear; painting Bullitts black, 3.73's.
