Cool 2000 mustang gt upgrade ideas?!?!

I am looking to add some more bang to my mustang I already have cai and 78mm throttle body. I also have long tube headers and straight pipes. I can't decide whether I want to get a CDC shaker system or if there is anything else worth getting that will give me more horsepower and such. I am also wondering if there is any other appearance things that will make my mustang look nice. So far I have a mach 1 chin spoiler, SVE rims, yellow calipers, chrome grille, and 3rd brake light tint. If you have any suggestions or knowledge on anything it would be muchly appreciated!

shaker will not give you and power, for the record. also, everybody is going to be a cobra fan boy. mach's are the ******* child who didn't make the SVT program.

before anybody starts correcting the OP, terminators WERE made in 2002. do your research before being retarded and saying they were only made in 2003-04.

I tear up stock-near stock termies in my mach. and i'm stock longblock. only thing that sucks with mach's is the notchy tr3650, but an MGW/tri-ax fixes that. and gears, the stock 3.55's are nice, but it needs 4.30's-4.56's to really open up.

**** cobra fanboys.

I don't know how the terminator got brought up? I must have missed something. But anyway Mach 1's are nice if you can get one at a good price. And cop magnet is correct terminators where built late 2002 for the 2003 model year but you could not own a cobra in 2002. And as far as mach 1s being compared to a termi is impossible the 2003-2004 cobras are a totally different animal. They came with a t56 transmission, 31 spline axles, IRS, forged manly rods, and crank, with zolner forged pistons, with a eaton m112 supercharger and with simple bolt ons can make big power! But anyway on to what the op wanted to know, I think you should give your drivetrain some attention maybe going with some 4.10 gears or putting money into some good tires and suspension. Good luck!

It was a poll about a cobra vs a mach 1. But I have the lowering springs and I have some expensive summito tires. But on my.mustang I want something that will make it perform but give it a nice look too but yea I looked at the 4:10s a while ago and I figured it was to expensive to get them put in. And I understand that the shaker system doesn't give a lot of power but holy hell they look sweet! What's some other upgrades tho besides 4:10 gears? I already have about 330hp and 345lbs of torque so something that pushes me up a little more horsepower would be awesome!

I think if you're a big fan of the cdc shaker system then get it. But as for the gears I think if you bought the gears and had them installed you would probably be around 700-800$ depending on install charge. Since you already have a 78mm throttle body and plenum and cai and full exhaust, I think my next thing would be a set of heads and cams if that could be something you can save for? Or you could just save for a supercharger. What are your goals for the car? Drag, auto x, street car?

if your making this with the mods you listed in your OP, your high as crap. I make 327/332 with a 4v...

start looking into suspension, upper/ lower control arms, front coilovers, tubular K, stickier tires like nitto's..

It shouldn't be that much, usually its around 400$.

not really any heads that respond in the low RPMS, most of them make power in the 7000+RPM range, further then I would ever want to spin my motor..but cams yes. they would put you around 280-310 depending on tune, degree, motor health.

One thing to always remember is you'll probably never have the meanest fastest car in town but as long as you like it and you have fun driving it that's all that matters! And the whine of a cobra is very intoxicating lol

Do you have under drive pulleys ?
Is the car tuned?

Is your car a auto or 5sp?
If you have a 5 speed I would look into maybe a short throw shifter.

I would say 327hp was at the flywheel and it was probably done on a dyno jet which read a little higher than a mustang dyno would. And plus no dyno is 100% accurate. But really don't be racing around to much, you don't want to lose your baby in a accident or worse hurt somebody else! It's alright to play on back roads but since you've only had the car for 3 months assuming it's your first car, just learn how to drive and enjoy the car and become comfortable with it.
