You have to turn OFF your T/C ,and I always shift myself , you will also need good timing not to shift to late because you will bounce off the rev limiter (that sucks) !
I have also tried letting the stang shift itself and the best time doing that has been 14.3or14.4 cant remember, I just know it runs slower and softer letting the computer shift !

Good luck when you get to the track !
thanks man. I plan on running the track some day and needed ot know how to do it.

So at what RPM do you shift cuz when i went to the track each time i tried shifting the car i had the slower times because it would bounce of the rev limiter. I thouhgt i gave it enough time becuse of the delay from when i shift and the trans actually shifts, but it didnt work and kept bouncing off the limiter.

Foot to the floor !
And I have got my best times launching off idle , I hold the brake with my left foot and rest my other foot on the gas ,and as soon as the light turns green , its full throttle away !
