hmm, sorry.. I have a bolt on 04 GT, minus headers... and on the street ive taken more then a couple of STOCK ss camaros... The ones that normally get me are the T/A with the smaller gear in them.. and they don't beat me by "2 cars", its a lot closer then that... Maybe whoever drove that 03' isn't a very good driver?? Or an automatic maybe? Hell, I raced a SS Camaro that had a couple of things done to it from 50-110.. and we were neck and neck until we hit 100, then he started to pull, but from 100-110, he got out a 1/2 car maybe.. impressed enough to follow me almost all the way home and ask me 100 questions about my car because his lil brother has a 99-04... Don't underestimate the LS1's you're right, but don't sell the Mustangs short... oh, and btw... when you're talking about 400+rwhp... 2 car lengths is A LOT... not so much on 13 and 14 second cars.. but on 11 second cars and what not... it's a HUGE differance.

Street racing isn't really that definitive in terms of a cars performance. You can't measure it to know who's actually faster, road conditions aren't controlled, can't account for driver error in terms of reaction time, can't measure launch to determine if there is room for improvment, etc.

The fact that your friend or whoever it was beat whomever by any length doesn't really mean sh!t, unless of course you are speaking of a controlled environment where there is #'s to prove it.

Street racing isn't that definitive??? ok........ Driver error is something that happens more during dragracing at the strip not as much on the street, when its late at night and no one is on the 2 lane one way road and you can come to a dead stop(which is what they raced from this particular time) or do 30, 40 , 50, or whatever roll then id say you can tell very easily which car is faster. damn that ford pride runs deep with some of you guys. And i dont need to prove anything, I dont appreciate my integrity being questioned over something stupid as this and why would i make this crap up, i do drive a mustang. Again just my experiences and my friends and we can drive just fine all of us, some a little better than others but hey i guess u got that everywhere. XXkazp i was just being a smartass with ur mods you should be running like that, what do you run in the 1/8? like 8.8/ 8.9? thanks guys

I laugh at the poor fool who bought the POS GM product to begin with....the car can't help what it is...
A turd is born a turd. No matter what you do to it, it's still a turd..:thumbsup

I understand driver error is something that happens both on the street and the strip - the difference is on the strip it can be measured, corrected or compensated for because you actually know what's happening, vs. who get's to the end of the street first.

Racing from a roll simply doesn't tell you anything, I don't feel any explanation is necessary here.

This doesn't have anything to do w/ Ford pride, I'm not questioning your integrity either - it's simple fact. If you think I'm wrong, let's go ask the SCCA or the NHRA, maybe even John Force how much stock they take in street racing or rolling starts, and continue this later :thumbsup.

ehh i forget what i run - i've only gotten to run once.. I ran once and did horrible... a 13.9 with a 2.3 60", haha... but since then i've also done my tb/plenum, suspension and udp... so traction + a lil bit more power= hopefully better then a 13.4... I probably won't be able to run again until June.. I was goin to go this saturday - but i won't be able to get down there... but by june, ill also have Steeda SFC, and hopefully some radials... and possibly drag shocks and struts... so who knows what's really goin to happen

Oh and also for the record... no LS1 t/a is a turd... I don't care what you drive.. stock 4 stock it'll still hurt a S197 GT

oh cause i was wondering cause one of my buds has about the same set up as you xxkazp3rxx and he ran 8.7-9.1 all night in the 1/8 on mickey thompson drag radials. He always gets good reaction and 60ft times.

Money.....The strip is where you go to get actual numbers and measure your cars perfomance, yes duh i agree with this....But Im sorry but you can tell how fast some ones car is by streetracing, to say street racing is not a defining factor in how fast someone's car is simple stupidity. A good clean street race with no mess ups or excuses is as good as gold. I guess everybody needs to quit street racing because it doesnt tell you anything about whos car is faster, hell most of the time i guess the person with the slowest car wins. Is that what ur saying? but anyways we could argue this 4ever so lets just drop it and just and relax.

I don't care if it's faster.

It's still a turd. I guarantee that LS1 will fall apart before my Mustang.

cant really remember but i know they were good because he had good r/t's and the drag radials helped him hook off the line so he was launching harder off the line.

Jeb..........arent yellow cars so much faster than other colors!
