couldn't have said it better myself...

Take what i say for what it's worth, but i am one of only 3 people to make 355rwhp N/A+ with a 4.6 2V. I build these motors as a side job, to my engine building job at GM. I also am building a SSO mod motor car as well, so i do have quite a bit of experience with these engines.

Yes, however, most people don't KNOW that you work for GM. So why should anyone believe you before reading your last post? That's why stupid roomers can easily be spread through out this forum. All it takes is one idiot to say something, and another noob to believe. What I'm getting at is this: there will always be someone spreading false information, so the only thing we can do is correct them. Not b1tch

I would like to thank you all for all the ideas and input. I can see i made good choice to sign up for this web sites forums. From what I have read i have a good place to start. My goal for this one is to pep it up some and put some more power to the ground. Then I start the process of gathering parts for the big one.

I might have a line on a 97 cobra 4.6 4 v engine. Once i have some more detials on it I will ask for some more input on it.

From what I have read this would be a good engine to look at using for the big one correct me if i am wrong.

Most definitely the 4 valve motor is a good choice to build up. I've been lusting after one for quite a while.

Dropping the compression to the 8's was when putting like 20 lbs boost on an engine. Sorry if I was wrong on the timing tool for the cams but the last two people who put them in mine had them and said you needed them, but the first guy ended up getting them off anyways. I was talking about 325 rwhp. On a n/a motor alone what would the desired compression be.

And just curious markwondi is the engines you are making that power bored or stroked any? I was just wondering if you got it with just heads, cams, intake and other stuff.

nope, stock stroke and just a .020 overbore to straighten the cylinders.

It was just a nicely worked bottom end, ported heads, cams and a good intake

I should have three something to the wheels. My compression hurts a little. But I am not going for N/A.
