I came up with about $14k on Kelly Blue book site in excelent condition, so it sounds like a real good deal to me. Does the car have everything you want as far as options? Is it the right color? How about the tires, they can get kinda expensive on a sports car. I would have it checked out by a different mechanic than the dealership and then I'd go for it. I'll bet you can get it for $13k like you want. Good luck...

Yeh i sticking to the 12,500 and if he doesnt wanna deal then i can find another one similar to it for around 12,500 if not cheaper. I feel pretty confident hes gonna fold though. He went from 13,692 to 13,000 in a matter of like minutes, after telling me to start with that 13,692 was as low as he could go. So if he doesnt go to 12,500 then i guess it wasnt meant to be.

Yeh i came up with like 13,8xx something on KBB retail, but i know they probably only have like 9 or 10k in the car or something, but i also understand its business and they have to make a profit. Its pretty much every kind of option on it, I love the mineral gray color, tires are brand new almost, also has carfax buy back guarantee.

02 Gt here from dealer, back in dec of 2003, they wanted $17,000 for it if you walked up. The internet price was $14,999. I had them drop it to $13,999.
Good deal, car had flowmasters on it, and 28K miles only.

I'm a Ford Sales Manager. He's probably got 12k in the car. That's average auction money here in ohio. I wouldnt hold your breath on him calling you back. I just sold an 03 Gt with 8500 miles mint, loaded, for 20k.
Sounds like a good deal to me. Your offer sounds like 11500 plus tax and title, right? If you dont ask, you dont get, but you are a little on the low side IMHO.

I picked up my 02 GT from a dealer this Feb. for $15,000 with 21K on it, so your 12.5 sounds like a good deal to me.
Make sure you check over the car very well though. Don't trust it just because it's from a dealer.
About a week after I got mine, I noticed the speedo was off. Turned out it already had FRPP 3.73's in it and the dealer didn't tell me (if they even knew). After that I did a thourough check for the most common mods and I discovered some flowmaster muffs as well. Pretty crazy considering it was supposed to be a quality checked and ford certified used vehicle. I wonder if they even did a road test on it before putting it out on the lot.
Went back and b*tched at them about how I no longer had any faith in the vehicle because I didn't really know it's history. Ended up getting another $750 bucks back (what I figure I payed for a supposedly quality checked used vehicle), and about 20 free oil change coupons.
Just sayin' check the car CAREFULLY before buying.
