I just purchased a 2000 gt and was wondering what types of issues this model has. What are some things to look for.

If you keep the G.A.S. delivery actuator open for extended periods you might see a pretty drastic hit in fuel economy, but other than that you should be fine .

Congrats on the new car. The only "common" issues I've read about since I've been here for the most part is the MAF getting dirty, more-so w/ the use of an oiled cotton media filter like a K & N. Simple fix, shot of electrical cleaner and you'll be good to go.

Otherwise I haven't really heard of anything specific to look out for. Good luck.

The tr-3650 tranmission has a bad rep also...mine is going...23k on my 02

yea but hes got a t-45 and i think its a lot better than the tr3650. I got a t45 on my s/c 99 and i have 78000 miles and it was taken apart about a week ago and it looked brand spanking new. But who knows...

Sounds nice. My 00 GT was bought new and hasn't had a single problem. It seems to be a well built car. I'm not too easy on it either, but I do all maintenance and keep it clean.

Yeah and if you're gonna do intake, do the whole thing. A JLT CAI will finish that up real nicely.
