I remember the first time I let my friend, the drag racer drive my new Mustang. It felt like it was twice as powerful.
He knew how to launch and powershift accurately. I now know how to powershift myself, and not only is it useful for bringing those times down, but it's fun!
I have killed my
tranny though once. Foot slipped off the clutch (grease on shoe) and I slammed it into 3rd, throwing a synchro. Not fun, but then i just double-clutched home, and Ford covered it under warranty. I didn't think they would at all.
