Angry Disappointing night at the track

Not very happy with my car right now!!! Here is my best run of the night:

60'............1.729
330'..........5.315
1/8...........8.277
MPH..........83.11

It seemed like pretty much every car out there was slow, so I don't know, maybe it was the track or the heat (I'm pretty sure it was in the 90's). Got beat by an Evo (8.521 to 8.527) and a Z28 (8.5?? to 8.7??), but atleast my fastest time of the night would have beat them . My best run NA was 8.4, however that was at a different, much better track. I also took off my aftermarket control arms and put the stock ones back on, but I can't believe it would make that big of a difference. Guess I'll have to plan a trip back to the good track, until then I have some serious work to do .

I do like the 60" funky... but just like the rest of us that have been having sh*t track times... remember we're only in a enormous heat wave, and you know that's going to play tricks on your car and your times... dont get mad at your car, if it's not her fault! What's your best run??

Very true, this heat sucks!

I just talked to Procharger about only seeing 5.5 pound of boost, and they told me some interesting stuff. According to them, an off-road mid-pipe is good for a loss of 2 lbs. and the catback is good for 1 lb. Now that seems a little extreme to me, but I did see alittle more boost last night during my runs, closer to 7 lbs but that was at over 6k rpms. I'll be going to a smaller pulley, 3.7 most likely, which will put me back up to 8 lbs. With a power pipe I might hit 10 lbs, but I don't want to push my luck.

Oh, and my best run so far with the SC is the 8.2 listed above. Last night was my first outing with it.

I would leave the blower speed alone and remove as much restriction along the intake tract as possible to get the air flow you're looking for. That's a hell of a 60' time you got there bucky. I really think the heat is killing your top end honestly.

Yeah, these Procharger intake tubes are junk. I'd like to step the pulley size down abit to start creating boost alittle sooner, and if I'm gonna do it, I need to do them both (pulley and power-pipe) at the same time to avoid running back and forth to the tuner.

Thanks guys for the complements on the 60' times. I see 1.6's in my future!!!

Hey kazp, how do you like your Steeda LCA's?

Wow, $170 for the aluminum ones is awesome. I'll start checking ebay for them.

As long as you read the ads carefully and understand exactly what you're buying it's awesome. It's that one time you're not paying attention that'll get ya.
