Hey everybody, i have some pretty cool news, me nad my older brother just recently started are own timber buying business only about a month ago. And as it turned out, we are doing unbeleivably well. On are first deal we each made $45,000. So i am thinking of selling my 97 Gt Woodward dream edition and getting either a Mach 1 or SVT Cobra.
My question is what is a better choice. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both. And what is a good price for each with mileage below 40,000. I would appreciate any advice with this. Or i could just keep my 97 with 65,000 miles on it and just do a ton of mods. Help please!

If you can find a cherry terminator (non pullied) i'd say go for it.. they have forged internals, already s/c, and are damn sexy ... Only problem with them is that if you plan on modding the Cobra, you have to watch the IRS... the Mach has a 8.8 axle like the GT.... and congrats on the good job!

DOHC motors are still the big dogs. So either for power would be great to start.

if you have the $ go with 03-04 cobra, wait till the shelby 500 starts hitting the show room floor, you can probably pick up a low milage one for mid 20,000$
you can go mach1 with same motor but higher compression and not forged but still a 32V.....
if you have the money, go with A 03-04 Cobra, stock! then get a pulley, Longtubes/midpipe/catback, a cold air intake, shifter, tune, good tires, and you will be looking at some great power ...... probably under 3grand of mods.

if you wanna ask about colors, Sonic Blue, Screaming Yellow, and competition Orange Cobras all look damn sexy.

I say go for a Mach.....I was faced with the same choice and I went with a Mach 1. Yeah, the Mach's aren't as fast, but with sticky tires and a minor exhaust of mods you can be running mid 12's, add some gears and your even faster..... which is plenty fast for me. I also think Mach's are more rare than cobra's.....Ford only produced 16,834 03/04 mach and they made 19,140 0/3-04 Cobras, plus they ALMOST make Cobra's every year.....The early 70's are the last time ford produced the Mach 1.

either way you can't go wrong man......Just trying to give you some options. I guess my biggest problem with the Cobra's are how heavy they are (but I guess who cares when you got that kind of HP) and of course the IRS....the IRS in stock form is complete crap for drag racing. The wheel hop is horrible and it's almost dangerous. Like I said before, either way you'll have one bad azz car
