Default What to upgrade next

i have most of my upgrades listed below any suggestions on what you would do next? whether it be upgrade or replace. i have hit 91K now eventually i am putting either single or twin turbo. any input will be greatly appreciated thank you

u should get fresh motor if u wanna run tubro. dont know how long it till last w/ that many miles

aye aye and thank you for the advice but where would i go about getting a whole new motor? ford dealerhsip? or where? and how much do you think that would run me?

refresh as in rebuild right? so where would i look to do that? im sorry im just new to that part of the working on the car hehe so far ive just ordered parts and put them on

id tear it down and replace w/ better parts. and also clean any slug that might have been cacked on to your motor. i dont know much about Tubros. but i know they run a lotta heat. and u might need some better pisons and rins then what Ford dealer can offer. but then again u could always get a 5.4 or just fine a wrecked car w/ low miles on and swap the motors out.

I would disagree with these guys. Just slap on the turbo(s) and wait for the motor to blow. Hell, I bet your motor would last another 30k miles before blowing. Just get a good tune and the car will last. Then when the motor pops, rebuild it and slap in some forged parts.

Yeah, blowing a forced induction motor is WAY more spectacular than an NA motor most of the time. Rods tend to go through blocks and oil pans. I would seriously pull the motor and tear it down and rebuild with all forged components before putting boost on a motor with that many miles.

get your self a built 32V, cams,forged, the works.... then run that for a while till the pocket book builds up and then go blower/turbo of choice........ and since Nitrious is cheap (cheaper than S/C or T/C, spray the car till you do the FI and then sell the spray kit.....

those are all great ideas i am already saving up i want to make it turbo'd so bad i havent done any mods to the outside yet because i want to make it fast before making it look fast so i guess i better start looking for some forged parts and get my block xray'd for cracks

is just buy a forged block and go from there. you can always store your motor w/ 91k

Umm...because he plans on rebuilding the engine anyway? Tons of 4.6 engines are boosted with high mileage. The car WILL last a long time, as long as its tuned properly. In that amount of time, he can save money to forge the motor.

or he can get a new motor, save old one and have a spare if something does go wrong he has a new motor to slap in . that is the more logical thing to do
