Out of all the tuners to buy what would be best in the 350-400 dollar price range. Im selling my superchips tuner and am ready for a big boy tuner. I know they all pretty much do the same, but i wont be able to get a professional tune for a while so i'll need good preloaded tunes and good user adjustability!

I have an SCT xcalibrator 2 and like it. I bought it throught mustang tuning and talked to their SCT tech and they were nice and my tune works fine. It downloaded easily and I like how I can call them up again if I add more mods, tell them what I have now, they'll make a tune e-mail it to me and I can put it on my tuner and finally burn it into my car.

i like my predator... if you want multiply tunes, get a flip chip... if not predator all the way. i heard rumors on sct going away replaced by sniper and diablo =)

You said that you won't be able to get a pro tune for a while. Find out what the local shops you would go to for a tune in the future use and buy that tuner.

but will all tuners, sct xcal, diablo etc, do the same functions? because i already bought one tuner which was a mistake, and dont wanna keep p*ssin money away. im not even sure what all i need one to do and not to do.

Yeah, the Predator and XCal2 will both do just about the exact same functions. The XCal2 will hold multiple tunes, the Predator won't though.

blueoval, how do you figure. with just the superchips it greatly improved the overall performance of the car. from throttle response, to the way the tranny shifted, to just all out performance. a good tune on any car will make a big difference. maybe not in numbers, but like i said in overall performance. and the nice thing about one of them tuner, is i can always adjust as i mod! i think im gonna go with the xcal2. id like to have multiple tunes!

Well I was mostly going on hp numbers. And I really wasn't thinking of the auto I am not use to them. I guess you will need the tuner when you do gears in the furture.
