I might bump the short shifter up the list a ways. It's fairly low cost and it makes the car a hell of a lot more fun to drive. It was the 1st thing I did to mine. Turns the Ford Gear Bag into a nice, slick shifting, piece of equipment.

Yep, these guys got it pretty much just right. Any combination of those mods listed above will make driving your 'Stang a lot more fun. Especially the gears and exhaust. More go, more growl...can't beat that for right off the bat.

Rephrase I plan on smoking you with an auto - yeah baby - actually getting the tuner today to firm up the shift and change the shift points - cant throw a stall converter in there until i change out the cams

I would not really buy a CAI till I done the shifter, gears, plenum/throttle body, and exhaust. Then some pullies and some sticky tires always helps taking off a lot.

I looked on his profile....2004 GT with flows.
I personally would do gears, short throw shifter and hand held tuner...then CAI, pullies. The short throw shifter makes these cars so much more fun to drive.
