Hello everybody, I have a friend who owns a 04 GTO, and today we were talking about Cobras and GTOs. He really thinks that he has a chance against the big snake. I am a Cobra fan so I am with the Cobra. I think there is a very small chance for the gto to be victorious against the cobra. However I would like to hear it from the experts (you guys) In this case it will be a 04 cobra vs 04 GTO who will win? How bad the cobra will win? I am assuming the victory for the cobra lol.
I have driven his car and its awesome overall. But nothing like a Cobra.

Stats are as followed: 04 GTO- LS1- 0-60:5.3 1/4 ET: 13.8
04 Cobra- 0-60: 4.5 1/4 ET: 12.8
even the 05 GTO with the LS2 only gets: 0-60: 4.8 1/4 ET:13.3
Still is no match for the 04 Cobra.
Also weight on the GTO's is 3750 lbs. vs the cobras 3665 lbs.
Ive driven both cars stock, it is a big differance in power, and cornering. Although, the GTO does have some cool gadgets inside.

from a dig depends on the driver ALWAYS. Esp since the indpendent rear gives some a hard time to launch. If u go to moroso in florida, a good portion of the cobras(stock/ mild moded) cant break the 13 barrier because of the launch.
with a competant driver... Cobra would kill a LS1 or a LS2 GTO...
Lol I guess my friend will be very upset when he see this . My intention was not to embarrass the huge GTO, I really think is a great car with a lot of potential. However for some reason I like Cobras better lol. Thanks everybody.
