Spend another 32948948320914823 dollars on Snap On tools today, and realized i have so many that i don't have room in the garage for them. Can't wait till i finish my masters this year, so i can move and build my 150k dollar garage
In the meantime, post pics of your wrenching areas (shops/garage/toolbox, etc), i bet i'm not the only one that likes to see peoples customized work areas
Man, I gotta lot of cleaning to do before I can take pics of that sty. I just got finished cleaning my IMRC plates this weekend, so it's still a wreck.
man, my garage looks like a **** hole, and i have alot more tools that are in my toolbox, but they all seem to walk up out of the tool box and never be found again.....

I can't really say that I've ever had a garage. I do have quite the collection of tools though. Over half are home repair and capentry tools. I've got a bunch of 18V DeWalts, DeWalt planer, DeWalt plate joiner, DeWalt jigsaw, Porter Cable air compressor, Delta table saw and drill press and DeVilbiss air tools with the random Mac here and there. I've got what has to be the coolest screw gun in the world. It holds a 50 screw strip of screws along the backside of it and will fully countersink a 3 inch screw in less than a second. Al I need to finish up my carpentry shop is my lathe and a band saw and a few assorted hand tools. Once I get those I can really start kicking out some nice furniture for a house to be built at some point in the not too distant future.

Very nice... you know, i looked into making most of my new house later this year since i'm the type to customize everything and like to do it myself, but man, it's a big task. I applaud the people that can do it all themselves, it's extremely tough work.
I'll be building the garage, since it's going to be made the way i want it (can't really pay someone to make a custom garage). But the house on the other hand, will either be an existing home or contracted out, LOL.
BTW, you staying in the area you are in currently? I actually visted that general area last year, it was pretty nice. Only decided to move to TN just because of family and teh fact i could do the work i do more securely there.
Yeah I'll be staying here in Northern Va as long as the powerplant keeps me wanting to work there. I basically rebuilt the house in Va Beach from top to bottom on the inside. I tell people who see it that if they can lay a hand on it in there, its less than 5 years old and I most likely built it or installed it myself.

I was the same way in my old house, but I'm lazy now. I refinished the basement, kitchen, and bathroom from top to bottom, and installed 2 ceramic tile floors.
I'll try to get some pics of the garage posted tomorrow.
I figured someone should finally post a pic in this thread, here are a few. It isn't much, but it gets me by.

here is a picture of my hobby shop. I call it the bionic dawghause. it is 60 by 40 inside I have a 44x40 main shop then I have a 16x20 foot separate woodworking shop that I can close off and keep the sawdust off my cars. I have a small bathroom area and a 10x 16 ft area just for my dogs. I have a 10 x 10 foot wood deck off the back of the shop, inside there is a small fridge and microwave. I have a pretty good collection of hand tools, 2 air compressors one 60 and one 80 gallon with a selection of 3/8, 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch sockets drills, 2 cherry pickers and since my dad retired and moved out to iowa he has added all of his tools to the shop so I am feeling pretty good about things now. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...01642786ryUoMG
it is still in the construction phase but it is coming along. the outside is done but the inside is still being worked on.
