okay i don't think you should evan consider a 2005+ mustang stick with an 03-04 mustang if you get one. Consumer reports and msn autos show that the new mustang dosnt do that great kind of poor. But the 4.6 especialy the 03-04 has great reliablity. But so does the 350z. The Z does cost more becuase it competes with the stang GT. And the Z is less commen so you well be more unique with a Z. So for gas milage its probably better to get a Z. The mustang does sound great as far as the engine noise. You have really got to decide this one for yourself.
I own and love my 02 GT, but I drove my buddies 07 GT with all the goodies. (TR3650 with 3.55's)Tell ya what there was a big difference in feel. For those that just read the mags and reports but never drove one your self, please take a ride. The Z is a skate with rubber wheels compared to the 07. I dont know, but then again this is a mustang fourm.
My dad keeps telling me that Mustangs are the number 1 sports car ever made, and I agree with him this is the only thing we share in common
The feel that you get when driving a Mustang GT is great, and no other car could satisfy you other than Mustang. decided not to buy Z350 but guess what! I am going to buy a MUstang 07 GT this upcoming summer
Good man! Thought though.. why not wait until the new "badass" mustang that's suppose to be coming out with close to 400hp n/a? Or save yourself 5k and get a used 04' Cobra

I beg to differ.. If it's not japanese it's crap according to them.. forget about how they fair in safety, or comfort, or reliability - if it's american its crap according to them.

to be honest, i had been interested in a 350Z before i had an idea for my current project. They are nice cars but expensive to upgrade as previously mentioned. The Mustang can be upgraded for alot cheaper. IF your looking for a daily commuter, go with the Z. If your looking for a good time and you live in an area with windy roads, take the Z again. If your looking to blow someones doors off at a red light repeatedly, go with the Stang. BUT!!!!!!!!!! if i were you, i'd buy a cheap car for daily driving, and take the 35000 for a new 350Z of Mustang Gt and put in a new custom [V8] engine and tranny into your V6 and then **** on anything that revs its engine at you . Nothing feels better that an total a$$ kicking.
however, if you are selling your V6, let me know, i might be interested.

I do like the 350 Z's, they are sharp, handle great, and are fairly powerful. But as others said much more bang for your buck with the Mustang and the HP you can add for the money is great. I added 78 HP for under $2,500.00 Also not having rear seats can really suck in some situations. Get the Mustang.

78hp with intake, tune and full exhaust? you surely have something huge not listed in your sig.
i was thinking about getting rid of my stang one time so i went and test drove some cars and among them was a 350z. lemme tell you i was happy to get back in my stang after that. the interior was cramped, plasticy, and junky. the engine sounded like my girlfriends vw. i could hear almost no exhaust tone inside the car. and it had NO torque. it did handle like a rat in a drain pipe , and the shifter felt really nice, but the clutch was a little soft for my taste. the best thing about this car is the looks, other than that its no better than a s2000. get a V8 mustang, you wont regret it. i believe someone on here once said "we're a sad race of people, yet distinguised"
im not a fan of the 350z personally in the looks department. Now a G35 coupe...ya buddy thats the ticket. I borrowed one from a friend of mine and ill tell you what i had more chicks pulling up next to me telling me that i had a nice car then anything else ive driven.
the g35 coupe is the same as a 350z but with different tin and a back seat.

Parts in the basement : To much to list. heres a hint..it involves a watts link and turbos.
If you want a dependable car, I always say, "stay away from sport cars." I have two nissans for work, dependablity, gas, etc. The cobra stays home for the "fun" factor. I also have a yamaha r6 for the "fun" factor. I love and depend on the japan made cars. for work, gas, ...BUT.....there is nothing like to hear a mustang cobra rumble. You either love a mustang or not!
To ask cuz your "not sure" means that you are getting the car for other reasons. I would say, get the 350z since you are debating with your parents with gas mileage, etc. I purchase what I want, and only what I want. Since I am making the payments & insurance.
By the way, if a woman drops her pants over you car. She usually will drop them for just about anything else!!!!! HAHA!!

my friends 350z gets on average 1-2mpg better than my mustang, but then again we are comparing an 05 350Z to a modded 98 gt.
honestly, in my opinion, and this is coming from someone who likes both cars, i would say get the Z over the mustang if you plan on never, ever modding the car. the Z is a fairly good performer from the factory, able to keep up with many of the other "fast" cars out there, if not beat them, STOCK. it is an overall well balanced car, awesome handling characteristics, but it does not have that v8 feel, lacks in the torque department, and will cost you an arm, leg, and first born to make it noticably faster and hang with the "top dogs"
i would suggest you get the mustang if you plan on keeping it stock for awhile, and then modding it. you can make a stang outhandle a Z anyday of the week with the right suspension upgrades. performance wise, throw on a whipple (about $5k, including install and tune, or so ive heard) and you will beat a TT 350z (which will cost close, if not over, $10k to do).
like i said, both cars are awesome. please dont shoot me for this, but i think the Z looks better than the s197. if you plan on leaving them both stock and never modding them, get the Z. its better setup from the factory. if you wanna have some fun fixing it up, get the stang.
btw, i noticed this thread was brought back from the dead, did you (delta7) end up getting the Z or the stang? i know you said you were gonna get the s197 in the summer, did that end up happening?

The best Mom-lady I could have ever asked for
Gas in a 350z in a mustang are near the same, really. I'm assuming the newer mustangs have better gas mileage than the classics, my friend's Nissan 350Z which is in excellent condition, actually gets about the same gas mileage as my 67 v8 302. And she drives like an old lady!!!
They're both sharp cars, but i'd say go with american muscle ANY day!

If i had that kind of money to spend on a car i think it would be a touger decision between a 07 GT and a 06 Pontiac GTO. I love those GTO's and they would make waste of both the GT and the 350Z. Plus the GTOs r kind of like the mustangs in that there r a lot of diff ways to mod them and make them sound mmmeeeaaann! But i have been a mustang lover for as long as i can remember so i would almost assume that i would lean more toward the stang. Modding a 350Z is waay too much $$$$$.
