hey i was just wondering if i would be able to pass emisions with the magnapacks from magnaflow i ll also be installing a bassani catted x pipe any1? paul
sorry...cant answer this question but was just curious...what exactly are the magnapacks supposed to do for the car? As far as the x-pipe...i have a basani xpipe and alot of folks recommend that i switch to an H...i think this is strickly for sound over performance.

I am not for sure about Mgna pack sorry, but for the H-pipe vs X-pipe...... There isnt much if even any in performance, but the sound frome the h-pipe will be much more itimedating, inside and out side of the car. It will give you more of a throaty hollow sound.
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think mufflers are gonna effect an emissions test. As long as your running the stock mid-pipe with cats (or some aftermarket catted mid-pipes) you shouldn't have a problem passing.
I think the magnapacks are a straight through design so I'm not sure if you'd pass emissions. I know they are pretty freaking loud....the regular magnaflow cat back will produce 92db at 3,000rpm and the magnapacks will be at 105db at 3,000rpms.....I got that info directly from magnaflow.
I would suggest sending them an e-mail or calling them to ask if the magnapacks will pass emissions in your state.

i wouldnt think the catback would have anything to do aslong as you have your catted midpipe and not a offroad one. the only thing that can get you introuble is noise pollution if you get pulled over or they want to be asses about sounds coming from car...... i never got pulled over with my bbk o/r xpipe and flowmaster 40series and that was almost as loud as the magnapacks.
goodluck.
