Smile For 99-04 GT's only!

This thread is for all those who own a 99-04 GT. I was just wondering what kind of mods do you have, What kind of numbers are you running at the track, and what other vehicles have you killed with your stang.

If you can answer any of these Questions please do so, I am curious to what most of you guys have done to your GT's and What you can do with them.

Thanks.

I don't have my GT anymore , but I'll answer anyways!

2002 GT, Manual
Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter
Steeda Sport Springs
Steeda Upper and Lower Control Arms
SFC's
Bassani Catted X-Pipe
Mac Cat-back
FRPP 70mm Throttle Body
Motive 4.10:1 Rear End Gear
MT ET Street Radials
Procharger P-1SC @ 10 PSI
Custom 4" Powerpipe
402 RWHP/408 RWTQ

The best I could do was an 8.00@89mph in the 1/8th, but the guy that bought the car said his son ran a 7.89 in the 1/8th and a 11.89 in the 1/4. I never really had any notible kills with the supercharger on, but I did manage to beat a couple mild drag cars. Before I put the blower on I put down 264/302 and ran a best of 8.4 at 82mph and beat a couple Z28's, SS's, SRT4's, an S2000 and a bunch more imports.

You can see my mods in the signature. I have never raced at the track yet. Maybe one day? Before all the mods, I barely beat a Blazer with a Vortech V6. The guy was giving me the thumbs down (I felt embarassed!). After most of the mods, I sort of raced (3/4 throttle from a traffic light in the city) a short bed Silverado with a 454 and we were both dead even. So I still do not know the performance results of my mods to date. Because I have a convertible and an auto I do not have a very fast car. But I still love my Mustang because of its looks, sound, and the heads it turns.

No matter how fast of a car you have there will ALWAYS be someone out there with a faster car than your's (if not today then in the near future). So even though I love speed, looks are more important to me because I can't race most of the time by living in a city with heavy traffic.

None sofar. Possibly the previous owner did something to it, but as of yet I'm unsure about that. I'm considering chiptuning it, and possibly a CAI. After that I might even go for some Flowmasters, although I do not plan to do too much to the car. Extra performance would be nice. Fuel economy would be welcome too. But the latter is the first item I'd really consider the mods for. Gas here is just plain expensive in comparison with the US.

Don't have a track near here that I know of. And even if I did, I wouldn't race it. I like to just drive it. Although I'm not too averse in giving the engine a pretty amount of RPM's from time to time :P Besides... I like to spare my tires and the gas for something else.

None... That I know of. I more or less prefer the looks I get from people. Mustangs are still a rare breed over here and driving one does earn a pretty hefty dose of looks. I do not drive the car to 'kill' vehicles. I drive it cause I enjoy it just for the fact that it is a Mustang

With the mods I have now, I run neck and neck with an 03 Mach 1, and can actually pull ahead with enough road... killed a mid 90's Camaro, and for some reason, a kid with his daddy's 05 V6 thought he was hot.... couldn't resist putting him in his place. Looking at getting some Fox Lake Racing heads with a set of Comp Cams in the near future.... then I go find that pesky GTO that spanked me last year...
The imports around here seem leave me alone.... specially when they hear the rumble of the catless Flows
