Question 1999 Mustang GT Limited Edition. 1,200 made. Any way to know what number is mine?

I have a silver 99 Special Edition GT:hihi: , and was wondering how i can tell what number it is out of about 1,200 made like it. can anyone give me a website where i can find this out, or know if the number is located anywhere on the car?

Your VIN will tell you what number your car is for the year, but not within a certain group. It would most likely take years to get that data, if ever. If you want to post or PM me I can decode your VIN for you. I have a book that decodes all the model years. The best you can do now is to say 1/1200.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

According to Brad Barnetts's Mustang Source:
"...although every Standard and GT had the 35th Anniversary fender badges, only 4,628 GTs were 35th Anniversary Limited Edition models. There were 2318 coupes and 2310 convertibles. There were 515 that came in white, 1259 in silver, 1299 in black, and 1555 in Performance Red, which was only available on this limited edition. These Limited Edition GTs had a raised hood scoop with a black stripe which ran from the scoop down the front of the hood, extended side scoops, a wing-like spoiler, and a black honeycomb insert in the decklid..."

I've got an '99 LE too and it would be cool to know what number it was. In addition to the paint and body molding I also believe, from what I was told, was the pony black/silver leather seats, stainless shift knob, silver instrument panel, and pony floormats were features too. Oh!!! and the 17" ponies.
