We actually have a pretty large active member base. The last time I looked the site is growing by about 30-40 members a day. We're up to right around 30,000 members now. When I joined there were maybe 5-6000. A lot of people join to have a specific question answered and don't check back until they have another question. That's perfectly fine. Others like myself and many more hang out here during spare time because there's quite a good bit of interesting commentary on just about any and everything under the sun.

i usually chime in with some crazy ideas or repeatitive comments as much as i can. This was the first site i joined when i had my first mustang. I seem to judge other mustang forums off of this site. And although others may get more activity this one is fine for me. Never joined another one until a month ago.
I joined southfloridastangs.net but i dont know anyone. They all call themselves by first name and joke with eachother in all the treads so its kinda hard to jump in. PLus they meet up on the weekends and i bartend fridays and saturdays and the rest of the time im with the gf or at the beach surfing/studying
I just joined some other forums and every week there is the same get to gether and the same guys talk about the same old stuff, and never discuss their cars. I will always love this site. This site is great beacuse it has high standards and great info. We cannot let this site slow down.

With my job, I have ample time to browse this site, and every other site on the web for that matter lol. This was the first forum I ever joined, I was drawn in by the Kill section and branched out from there. So like others have said, I too compare every other site to this one.
I try and get on here when I can, but you know how it is, work, wife, etc...
I look at all the posts in the 4.6 forum, as that's where I hang out, and offer what I can when I can.
Don't worry, we'll find you!

I try to scan this site as often as possible CARGUY. I am also new at modding my Mustang; but not new to the Mustang world.
Like STONEDCOLD said, I only reply when I can offer something useful or I've experienced the samething. My knowledge doesn't come from experience turning the wrench, but from reading multiple resources, contacting mechanics, and Ford if I have to. I read Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Road and Track, and 50MustangsandSuperFords. So I usually compile a response based on what I've read, and who I've talked to (various resources).
I know most would say that alot of what's printed in magazines doesn't happen in the real world, however that should change this year as I begin modding my Cobra.
I joined this site 4months ago and I am on here daily. Sometimes I post when I have something useful to add but for the most part I am reading. I am new to the 4.6 world but have had my '90 LX since 1996.
There is a lot of great information on here and alot of people willing to answer questions. More so than the other mustang forums that I belong to. On those, it takes awhile to get a response(if you get one at all), on here I get answers pretty fast. I have told alot of people about this site as well. In my line of work( we sell modified TKO trannys to the muscle car market) I am around/talking to car guys all day long. One of my questions I always ask is if they are a member of a forum or not and I always recommend AFM to the mustang customers.
This site ROCKS!!!
almost! im stuck at work and amazingly im actually kinda busy today. but yeah, i usually murk around this site and one other site pretty much contiunously throughout the day, i try to give as much info as i possibly can from my own experiences, and as for the posts where i dont really know much, i usually leave it for the people that do know and i just learn off of them.
this is the 1st forum that i started using, and i used to read that this was the most informative of all the sites, and to be honest at first i was a little skeptical but now that i actually visit other sites, i have to agree that everyone on here is by far friendlier and more cooperative than the other sites. not bashing them or anything, i just like this site better. everyone here seems to be willing to help out as needed, and its really cool to see people willing to do that.

The best Mom-lady I could have ever asked for
I try to respond as much as possible. I am usually on here on a daily basis, but since I am new to moding stangs my knowledge is often limited. With that said I will try to spread the word, and I will also respond when ever I feel I can help or add to a thread.
Ditto that, I actually never close the window and every couple hours when I am home, I refresh it
im on here atleast once a day and i help when i can, but i mostly just read and learn. Im sure theres a lot of people on this site who have been into cars for over 20 years, and me, i only have 18 total years of life under my belt so the info i get from a lot of u guys is golden. I thank everyone for their help.

The site to me has become indispensable and I have even taught a few tricks I picked up from you guys to my mechanics (cleaning the IAC valve, MAF sensor) I even upgraded my exhaust and managed to get the sound I wanted thanks to this site I even got to meet the mustang club of Puerto Rico trough this site so I am really grateful the problem I got is that altough I reccomend this site to every mustanger I know here in Puerto Rico not everyone speaks or much less writes english so it would be of great help to foregin guys like me if we could have a record of members from our countries and help us meet each other online (like the mexicans do) so we can help bring more people in.
thanks from a member for life.

I usually don't say much unless I have something to contribute that seems worthwhile.
I'd rather have a forum with a lower amount of posts as long as the post information is correct I've been on some other forums where the amount of ignorant and incorrect information being tossed around is just mind-boggling. Add in constant poser flame wars, and it makes for a useless forum site.
AFM (and my other fave MCRParts.com) has good, accurate info, and a friendly group of adult acting members.
