Look at my car it is lowered and only rubs when I turn real tight I have 245/45/18's all around. Got them off of E-Bay with tires for like 700$ they have off named tires "Hankook" on them but they have been the best tires I have ever had on the car. I was able to get as low a 1.88 60ft times on them, and they are not hard but have hardly used any tread.

I run 18x9's with 275/35 WR18's on the front, and have the tires touch only when in extreme turn situations with a sideload on the car. No problems, no damage, look great. If you run 265's I suspect they won't rub at all. My car is also lowered about 1.4" inches up front.

I run 18x10's with 295/35 WR 18's out back,no scrubbing.

17" wheels don't usually scrub with 275's.

Keep in mind, this all depends on the amount of offset the wheels have - check with the manufacturer. This makes all the difference. There is also a difference between tires and manufacturers. Not all "275" series tires are the same width - this varies quite a bit. Some tires have more square shoulders, while others bow outward quite a bit. A tire with a shoulder that curves outward would be more likely to scrub.

My tires are Kumhos - and they are quite square shouldered. I like them just fine, though I run a softer compound tire for my rear tires to give me better grip under hard acceleration.

I've got 18x9, 255/45/ZR18 up front, 18x10, 285/40/ZR18 out back, Bullit's from american muscle (about 600$ a set with deep dishes 18x10's) Dunlop sport 9000 tires, these tires last a long time (2 years ago) and still look new. The car has the ford motorsport handling kit which is not only cheap but lower the front about 1 inch and the rear about 3/4"there is no rubbing under any circunstance, no body roll and they give the car a real mean stance, I'm always being comlimented on the way my ride looks.
