Default Just installed 4.10s, Accufab TB/Plenum, K/N CAI and custom tune

Well, I finally did it. Took my stang to the speed shop and had a nice upgrade done. FRPP 4.10s, Accufab 70mm TB/Plenum, K/N FIPK CAI and a custom Diablo Predator tune!
Feels like another car. Throttle response is instantaneous, it pulls a lot harder, passing on the highway is very snappy (feels like a manual when downshifted), the rpms on the highway are not that high (55/2200 65/2500) and feels I lot smoother than I expected. I haven'nt gone full throttle yet, I'll do one more day of normal driving. I did puch it like 3/4 from a roll, and it chirped nicely in 2nd, with no fishtailing, so I guess they fixed something on the trak-lock.
Thanks to everyone that recommended the gears!

Congrats on the upgrades! I've never believed in break-in periods, but better safe than sorry!

same here, congrats on the mods! but personally, i believe in the break in period for some things, gears included. as soon as i got mine installed (3.55) i wanted to feel the difference and was able to run my buddy with the 350z on the freeway on the way home from the shop (full throttle). 2 days later...pinion seal started leaking. had to take it back in to replace it. of course, as soon as i got it back the 2nd time, i took it easy the 1st day, let it rest overnight, and "tested" it the following day and its still been problem free.

Told you so! if you continued thinking about it, you would still be choosing gears!

You are absolutely right. Our conversation on Saturday really helped me decide. Thanks!

Man, it's running fine! It feels and shifts like a manual (minus the clutch and shifter). Around town it drives much better than stock, and on the highway I can barely notice the higher rpms up to 55 mph (2100-2200). After that I notice it, but it's a lot smoother than expected (2500-2600 at 65) and in O/D you just can set the cruise control and forget about it. Plus if I need to pass someone going 55, I just step on it and it downshifts and goes like a freaking manual!
The only drawback is that now with stock suspension and tires I got no traction. Plus they recommended a tranny cooler (they're cheap, I.m doing it ASAP along with the ATF flush). So it's back to saving again...
DO NOT FEAR THE GEAR, ESPECIALLY ON AN AUTO...
