I'm tired of the mod motor department these days. I've been out of the groove the past couple years, haven't done a thing with either of my cars. In fact, i've neglected my Nova entirely. So, i'm selling most of my mod motor abundance of parts and building a nice engine for the Nova. Besides, i miss playing with the old pushrods, they're much more enjoyable than OHC engines.
Should have the engine done in a couple months, and will have the whole project done in time for the Woodward Dream Cruise (if any of you have been to this event, you know how good it is).
Engine specs:
408 ci. smallblock
Solid Roller Cam
Dart Pro 1 220cc Heads
Edelbrock Air Gap Intake
Yeah i really like the 03/04 cobras but i have always loved the 82 GTs alot. So i think im gonna get one, put it in nice shape and build an all out 302 thats badass!!

wow, mark that motor sounds AMAZING. If thats what you end up dropping in it will you still keep the stang while you work on the nova or sell it? Would that be your daily driver lol?

No, i'm keeping both cars. The nova is 100% restored right now, i take it to car shows and what not. It's just "lacking" a little in the HP department for my tastes, haha.
I drive a GMC truck daily, and will continue to for many years

Yea, pushrods are much more forgivable, and just overall more fun to build. The 383 should make ~550-575 HP, and be very streetable. In fact, it must be streetable, because i drive my Nova to all the car shows, i won't let it become a trailer queen.
cool man! i love pushrod motors i built my V8 in the 78 camaro with my dad. when we went to do a cam swap, my dad told me to start taking it apart he was coming home in a hour, about 45 min later he got hom and i had abear block with pistons and what not, heads where off and everything.. (redoing heads)

That's why i'm going to run a solid roller cam... it will be a 10 min job to set valve lash once a year in this car.

You can't make a mod motor do that....
Sweet man. Yeah mines gonna be very streetable too. This is all years down the road but im debating a nice 302 or a 351. And i wanna go old school and carbed!

Yea, that's true. Although as i get older, the more i don't like that old, lopey smallblock sound
I think my Nova will annoy me after a long cruise, but atleat it will make pretty good power.

Im 25 so i love loud if it sounds good lol. Im gonna have my step dad help me because he knows alot about the older cars, when its comes to building them. I have plenty of time to do research, so i gotta learn all i can. This wont happen probably for another 4 years hopefully then. I wonder how hard it will be to hit 350 horses N/A. THen when its built stout, put a blower on it

350 N/A is easy... you can do that with some stock iron heads, a mild cam and a good intake.
