im back to the forum but with a 4.6

hey gents, Seams like all the old geezers that helped start this seam to have gone. any how i used to be more in the 5.0 side when this was first started. So now ive come back but with one of those damb 4.6 mustangs.

Its funny i always said id be a tried and true push rod guy. Oh well times change and we all have to change in some way to keep up.

So any how its good to be back. I just picked up a 04 gt with 10k on the clock and was owned by and older woman. so its as stock as stock could be.

Funny thing was i got home with it last night at 8pm, and tonight when i get home from work ill be adding a CAI and shifter. hehe.

Ive already been eying up that new trick flow intake and some patriot heads. Ive been readding up on these sohc motors for a while so i dont think it wont be to hard to get into the swing of it.

this week end im ordering:

17x9 and 17x10.5 chrome bullet rims
slp bigmouth cat back
kooks full length headers and catted x-pipe
3:73
tubular conttrol arms

Ill be getting springs but i want to put the tires and rims on first and see what my clearances are.

Sound like a good road map?

family car? Not sure what you mean. im only 28 other then these last few years there has always been at least one mustang in the garage.

1970 mustang grande
1988 mustange gt (351 vortech t-trim)
1986 mustang gt 347 twin garetts
1967 cougar 390+428 crank=410

I kinda dropped out of the mustang scene for a couple of years when my daughter was born. During that time i drove a 96 grand cherokee lifted via clayton at 5 inch and 35's. so the jeep is now my winter/mud beater and the mustang is my nice summer ride.

So as far being a newb to the site nor a mustang i am not.

Just new to the 4.6

no offense taken. those that know me, know im not one to get riled up very easily.

when cougars first came out in 67 to 70, they where geared as a luxuary sports car. 67 and 68 were pretty much identicle to a mustang with different sheet metal. my 67 borrowed alot of parts from 67-68 mustangs. after 71-72 with the gas crunch it turned more to a family car boat anchor.
