I put white faces on mine. Not hard at all. Gettting the headlight switch handle off and on again is the biggest hassle.

"www.mustangworld.com " has a good article under their HOW TO section.

Do yourself a favor.. if you don't want a haste pitting the needles back on and have your speedometer off by about ten mph...get a faceplate that doesn't require the removal of the needles.

If you purchase a faceplate that requires the needles to be removed, make sure you mark down the location of each needle before removal. I'll give you a hint on the speedometer needle. You will not get it right unless before you put everything back together you take it for a ride in a safe location as I had to do. Do not have the plactic on the guages. speedo needle removed. First enter into the digital speedo area. Since the little plunger is no longer there, use a pencil (eraser end) to depress the odometer button.

See Link:
http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/dtcodes.htm

While driving I was able to bring it up to 40 mph on straight deserted road at the time and install the needle on the 40 mph. Your Speedometer will now be correct. This is the only way that I was able to get the speedometer correct again. Return home and finish putting your dash back together. this complete process will only take about a half hour start to finish.

Good Luck!

Its not that hard, but it is a little time consuming. Make sure you've got some TORX bits around, i remember having to use those. I put a set of APC indiglos in somones 96 GT a few months ago. Just for the reocrd, I would not reccomend them to anyone but thats besides the point. . Her gauges have been off ever since, because rather than make the locations, I just reset them all to 0. That dosen't work! I think it took like 2 hours to do but thats working with tools that aren't mine and i didn't know where to find being as it wasn't my garage, not to mention an annyoing blonde looking over my shoulder the whole time. Don't ask.

It's not too hard... I had a few difficulties which are probably documented on this site.
Just a note on the headlight knob... you can just pull it straight off. I don't think it damages anything.
