You will lose power with 278. I mean sure you gain a lot of power at high RPM, but do you really wanna be pushing it all from 6000-7000k. Nah the 270, will out perform the 278 on a stock engine (mind you even if you fixed the pistons so there wouldnt be PTV issues) because its power band is more efficient with most of the stock components. So the 278 would be great for really modded engines and blower set ups, with all that high end power a supercharger comes in great to make up for what the engine will lack between 3k-5.5k |
