Default 2001 Mustang GT. Added An X Pipe And Love My Cars New Sound

ok last night I put an X pipe on my 01 gt. Its a PYPES brand x pipe and seemed to be good quality. The install was pretty simple all except the one nut on the passenger side that requires a swivel it was a pain in the a$$ man it was tight. unhooked the 4 02 sensors dropped it down and slid the new one in fit real nice. I bought mil eliminators for the best mill eliminator they where like $ 15.00 for both of them. come with good directions I spliced them into the rear sensors and had no problems and no check engine light.

the mufflers I have are magnaflows and with the x pipe sound awesome. going down the road at highway speeds it is great can still enjoy the radio and it rides like a sleeper. But when you put your foot in it or want it to this thing comes to life with sound and sounds great.
just thought I would share my excitement.

sweeeet!!!!!!

thats an almost identical setup to what i had, i had a bbk catted x pipe and magnaflow catback, the thing i loved about it was that it was somewhat quiet at cruising (insude the car, outside it was nice, deep, and throaty) but when you nailed the gas it was amazing....cant wait to get that again.

i got a upr o/r x with 1 chamber flo's and its kinda obnoxious. its really loud inside and out. i was thinking about getting slp's to be louder but, i think im going to do longtubes with o/r H and the 1 chambers. i think that will be a nice setup.

LOL, I had completely forgotten about that one bolt on the passenger side downpipe. My knuckles were destroyed after doing a midpipe on my 03 GT. I think I had a 4 inch extension with a deep well socket, a swivel and a 9 inch extension all on an impact ratchet. It took a LONG time to get it all on correctly and I wound up double nutting it so it wouldn't back off but it worked like a champ.
