Default 2003 Mustang Mach 1: All Motor Or Kenne Bell 2 Liter

Okay guys i am looking to put some cash into my baby and I came to a problem, if i go with a supercharger i lose a functional shaker hood. i have always wanted to S/C'ed mustang but i love how the shaker hood looks. Then i thought about doing all motor (pistions, rods, cams, valves, springs, retainers, possibly stroked.) but i figrued i would ask those who know better than me what i should do. I know its two completely paths to travel but what would you do if you were me?

i would do the all motor... if i could just choose one.

if i were you, i would do BOTH

that would be insanely powerful.

you have to ask what your goals are with the car. if you want a high horsepower street car, go with the supercharger. if you want a mild horsepower car thats still streetable, you could go n/a.

supercharger is the easiest way to make power, not to mention also the easiest smog-legal way.

You can go the supercharged route and keep the Shaker, although it may not be functional. I have seen one guy fabricate an inlet pipe that let it be functional but I can't find that info. If you can't do both right now, I'd do the engine first. That way when you get to the point of being able to do that supercharger, you'd have a great base to build from.

I am not fond of KBs. However, they are in my opinion the best non-centrifugal S/Cs on the market. I'll stick by Procharger. I know I say that a lot, and Markwondi pokes fun because of that.

As I say for everyone else, request an info packet from Procharger. They're free.

KB all the way. Build the motor with a forged rotating assembly first if you can't do both at once, then do the blower.

My 2003 MACH1 is S/C by Vortech.

And the scoop is still working.

It never was that functional to begin with.

I would suggest going forced induction, as making a 400+rwhp N/A 4V will get quite expensive.
