i have 4.30's in my cobra and they are amazing around town. perfect for cruising and the freeway is not bad at all despite what some people may tell you.
i spin my engine at about 2.7k at 65 mph and i get excellent gas mileage.
with 4.10's you will be more than pleased. if you do anything less you will probably wish you went with the 4.10s
at 65 mph i am doing around two grand and it just hasn't got the ump or pick up that i want plus my buddy got a 98 camero ss that i want to smoke ( ya know). got about 5 g's to spend over winter (it's long here in nfld the most easterly province in canada) i got the suspension done so i want to take the it step by step from the ground up.

SCREEEEEECHHHH!!!! stop...
sub frame connectors, forged crank, rods... and a super charger.
FORGET the gears... BUT, do add an o/r mid pipe to that.
Would the 4.10s be a good change with a V6 as well? And wouldn't I lose high rpm hp? About how much would these gears be parts and labor?
pretty sure you cant get 4.10's in a v6 because the differential is a different size. i think there are v6 specific gears if im not mistaken designed for the 7.5" rear end.
they dont add or take away hp. they just utilize the power band a little better so you lose top end speed but gain a buttload of acceleration or "kick"
Yup, if you got 5 grand to drop over the winter, get a blower kit. You'll never look back after that.

Yup! if I would have had that kind of cash; I would have gone the KB route instead of the PI setup(I love the PI stuff, but I heard that boost is adictive).

OHhhh that's a touchy subject. It's a trade-off. Like Markwondi said, they don't affect your top speed. I'd think they increase torque.
Well, think about it.
You're pedaling a 21-speed bike up a hill in 8th gear. You don't have to spin much, but you have to push HARD to get the torque to the ground. Low torque.
So, you switch to speed 1. You can spin like crazy and get a good amount of torque to the ground.
Then, you decide to switch to 4th. You don't have to spin your legs off, but you're getting EVEN MORE torque to the ground than you did in first gear.
That's how gears are. Does it really add torque? My vote is for yes; IF you select the optimal ratio. If you choose a crazy ratio, like the WTF-status of the 6.20 8.8" gears, then you'll just spin the tires and you'll have NO torque getting to the ground
