Just installed the MRT H-pipe on 2003 Mustang Mach 1
And holy moly! It sounds soooooooooo perfect!!! I was grinning ear to ear on the entire ride home!! The MRT H pipe going into Borla Stingers sounds so great, i'm in love!

I know the feeling! Now, have someone you trust drive it around the block while you listen (from the outside)... Once in a while I ask my girlfriend to drive by so I can hear it from outside the car.
Congratulations on a great buy.
Did you see the quality of the midpipe? It is as well built as the Borla catback.

Well actually my dad was telling me that the welds in the midpipe weren't all that great. I mean, he says they should be fine, but he's been a welder for 30 years for Chevron Phillips 66, and he's paid for perfect welds. I guess it's just a difference in necessary quality because if his welds fail, people could get hurt. Either way, i'm happy with it.
And yea I definitely need to get my pops to drive it down the street so I can hear it, and I want to get a video clip of it also. I think I'm going to make a video of the differences in my exhaust going from stock, to stingers, to stingers + mrt h pipe.

Every setup I have ever had has sounded bada$$ from outside the car. I'm more concerned with how it sounds inside, since that it what I have to hear every time I drive it. That is the reason I won't go back to an o/r mid-pipe.
There is a pretty serious drone that starts at 2k rpm though, do you guys think it will smooth out after some time? I know new exhaust parts change a bit over time. Other than that, it's fantastic!

That is the infamous 2k drone.
The drone will not go away. I know, that sucks, but it is the price we pay for a loud exhaust. I think all loud setups have the dreaded 2k drone. In fact, I've heard that loud setups with chambered mufflers have more drone than loud setups with straight-through mufflers (Borla, Magnapacks). So it could be worse.
With my 4.10 gears and auto transmission, the drone is there when I cruise the highway (55-60 mph). And the speed limit in most highways here is 55. I do 50 where the limit is 55, and 70 where the limit is 65 and I'm out of the drone zone.
And it's a blast driving in the city with the 4.10s and the exhaust.

I meant the material and the overall look. Yes, the welds look like they were done by a very meticulolus 5 year old boy. They look ugly, but strong. Although I would not contradict your dad (I have never touched a torch in my life).

O/R X SLP LM1 4" "TIPS" YOU HEARD THAT!!!!
I gotta find a good street where I can get on it a few times without worrying about cops to get a good video clip, I'm going to start putting together a video in my spare time that shows the difference between stock, then borla stingers, then stingers + mrt h.
I gave it a good 2nd gear run tonight, from about 40mph to about 60mph then let it decelerate while still in 2nd and it sounded ungodly the whole way through.
And yea the drone is there, but not the worst i've ever had. Flowmasters gave me the worst when I had them on my old '94 silverado.
Edit: Also, yes the quality of the materials of the mrt h pipe are great and the fit was fine. I'm sure the welds will be strong enough, it's just that they aren't the best someone could do, haha.
