You'll need a special spring compressor in addition to all the other usual cam degreeing stuff. I assume you purchased new retainers as well?

the heads came with some new titanium retainers (patriot stage 2 brand new) so i should take them to a machine shop to get the springs installed?

Its not that hard if you buy/rent/borrow-from-a-parts-store the tools.

Not a bad idea to let a pro do the assembly if you're worried.

What cams are you running?

Good cam from a good company. Lots of folks use that cam. Has a little lope in the idle, so you WILL know the cam is in there.

Default 270

Shouldn't unless have other mods to the heads.

Lots of folks run these with no alterations to the pistons.

Of course, these are "interference" type motors, so if you don't setup the cams right, it can be a problem.

Mark (I use a yellow paint pen) the chain to a sprocket and if they go back together matched up, its one way to avoid problems.
