Default 2002 Mustang with Air Conditioning Problems

Looking for the experts advice on air conditioning. I have 2002 Mustang and can't find out why the air compressor clutch won't engage. I've checked the fuses and their ok. What other problems would cause the compresser not to run?
Thanks,

Could be low on refrigerant. You could try bypassing the pressure switch momentarily to see if the compressor kicks in.

Thanks for the reply. I will have the refrigerant checked out. I thought it might be something like that but was not sure. I appreciate you help.

Can someone give me an idea where I might look for the low side recharge valve to add refrigerant to the system on my 2002 mustang.
Thanks,

I bypassed the pressure switch and the compressor runs ok. Wondering what other checks I could do to find the problem for the compressor not to run. Besides being low on refrigerant?
Thanks,

The low side charge port should be around the reciever tank where the low pressure switch is, it should be inder a black cap, and the fitting looks like a larger male air line fitting,, canadian tire has charge kits that will work 2 cans, and a charge line with guage for around $50

Do not buy the refrigerant kit at Canadian tire or Parts man, it is not the correct refrigerant for the car. it is a mix blend that operates close to the 134A. and it has a high concentration of Propane wich is also know as a refrigerant due to the fact the it goes from a liquid to a vapor state.

Not safe. better to get the proper refrigerant by a qualified mechanic, and if you are low, then you must have a leak, and the leak will need to be repaired, then put on a Vacuum, then recharge.

And it is not legal to do any of the above unless you have a Ref lic and ODP cert.

Do it right or don't bother doing it at all.
