Leave the stock sensor in and by a hose adapter from Autometer. The thing is cheap and you can place the sensor in the radiator hose. Just purchase a small section of hosing and you're done.

or just drill and tap the aluminum coolat cross-over on the intake mainfold, or drill and tap the thermostat housing and install the sender there....

Yeah, then you get filings in the coolant system (unless you remove the intake manifold or thermostat housing).

IMHO and experience, the hose adapter is the easiest way to go. This allows you to sway intakes all ya want in the future without having to drill and tap them again and it also ensures that you don't screw up when drilling. You only get one shot with that.

Just MHO.

whatever....... IMHO it's still cheaper and easier to remove 2 bolts, 1 hose clamp then drill and tap the thermostat housing and re-install it, takes abot 15 mins and really nothing to buy, unless you dont own a 3/8" npt tap...also a good time to change to a 180* thermostat if you want
