So I walk into my local dyno engine speed shop place of fast cars thingy. and I ask the guy how much it costs to dyno and tune my car. He said 75bucks for half an hr. I have to provide the stuff for them to be able to tune it though. What should I purchase?
Also I asked them about porting and polishing the heads. They said they could for 200 bucks..but if they are iron heads they can't. Then he went into a big long spill that really confused me. I just nodded and pretended to understand. All I want is for my motor to be built slightly without buying other bolt ons.(Throttle body, plenum, high flow cats, etc) Any suggestions on what to do?
well 1st-off you need to find another shop as this one sounds like a Ripp-Off shop....second, your heads are aluminum and a quality port n' polish, if done correctly is a minium of $500.00 and can go up depending on what else is done and after a port n' polish, you'll have a valve job done, which is a must and another $200.00 on top of the $500.00..... you need to find another shop as any shop that tunes and then tells you to bring your own equiptment is not a shop that I'd feel safe wth.....since your in NC, try Rick @ www.AmazonRacing.com
OK thanks man. I didn't know my car had aluminum heads already though. Yeah they sound kinda iffy. He kept pushing me to use Nitrous. 350hp of NOS was safe according to him. W/E.

yup, deff goto another shop, this ones full of "clowns" ....350 shot on a stock Modular wont work, as anything over 150hp shot is instant Death......
That douche told you 350 hp was safe, and after you blown the engine apart he'll say, wow, that's strange, I've never had a problem with it. Then he'll try to sell you a new engine that's guaranteed to handle it. See a pattern? Make sure you use a reputable mustang shop, you want someone who knows mustangs, does good work, and stands behind it.

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's
Yeah I now think I'll try that amazon racing shop. 250 bucks for a dyno and tune is pretty good priced. What area of S.C. are you in? I live about an hour from Spartanburg. If you know of any good dyno's near there.
yeah, Rick and Lyn at Amazon Racing are good people and Ricks a great tunner, so you wont go wrong using Amazon and dont forget to tell them I sent 'ya
my god...i would have to say you walked into the biggest gimmick shop ever!...what is the name so everyone knows about them????...also everyone knows you can't thow a 350hp shot on a stock bottom end...you would blow the stuff out of your motor!
just wondering if anybody in north louisiana has heard about B & M Performance. says they have a dyno but really can't find any reviews about them.
