Head swap question on a 96 GT

ok, heres the deal, my best friend has a 96 GT, and we are preparing to do a PI head swap on his car. my/our question is, can we put cobra heads and intake on his car that is SOHC? i was thinking that the second cam was drivin from a chain linked to the first cam. am i wrong? i dont konw much about the 4.6 engines, but i think this is possible, but i wanted to be sure b4 we get all the parts and then start and it not work. thanks guys in advance.

Yes you can but it would be very very expensive. Its not even worth it.

do you mean the heads themselfs, or some other supporting parts? because he has found a set of heads and a intake already.

I think because of that second cam from the cobra heads, your gonna have an ECU issue.

he already has 24# injectors so upgrading to a cobra EEC should probly be a good idea, the reason im asking all this is, the junk yard has both sets and only want 100 bucks more for all the cobra stuff.

Okay you need the heads, intake, IMRC runners, timing cover, pullies, valve covers, EEC, wiring harness yours wil not work on various parts, if you can get it all for undera grand then I say its worth it as the SOHC headswap will cost you that. I am no expert on this either please someone else chme in as I am sure I missed some things
