Default 3.73 rear gear questions

I've been wanting to get a 3.73 gear for a while but am just now getting around to it. Will it offset my tachometer or speedometer? Also, for anyone thats already installed one, did you notice a big improvement?

You'll need to have your tune adjusted for the new gears. If you don't have a handheld tuner, your Ford dealer can make the adjustment.

You can also get a speedometer recalabrator from ford racing. its a much cheaper route if you dont want to spend the money for a tuner right now.
3.73 is the way to go. I used to have 4.10's, but i switched cause ide have to shift into 5th gear at 100 mph. at least with 3.73's you can shift at 110 mph. That is better for the quarter mile too.
I noticed a huge throw back in the seat difference with 4.10's, but i did notice a little less with the 3.73's. Still better than those 3.27's

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails

yeah, if you have a tremic 3650, you maybe able to geta little more (115 or so)... but thats me shifting at 5800 ish rpm. i dont take it too high beacause the stock valvetrain starts loosing power at like 6000 or so.
