 2000 Mustang convertible top won't go up...
Hello, everyone. I have just joined this group. I really wish I had known you were here before I began to have troubles. I am really enjoying reading the different stories.
I have a 2000 Mustang convertible, and recently the top stopped going up. I am able to get it to go down using the button, but when i try to get the top to go back up, the motor runs, but the top only lifts about 2 inches.
In my owner's manual, under lubricant specifications, it lists convertible top fluid.
No where in the manual can I find anything telling me where the lubricant goes, how much to use, or how to tell if that is my problem.
I just re-read the section concerning lowering/raising the top: Is it really necessary to lower all the windows to get the top to go back up? I am only asking because I can't put the top down without someone there to stand in the back seat to get it back up...
