Hello everyone,
I have a 98GT with 93k miles. She has a CAI and Flomaster exhaust with an X pipe no cats. Should I buy a Tuner? and will I get much out of it? Im looking for more Power/Torque. Im sure if I read some of the many posts listed I will have my question answered but I rather ask direct since this is my first post. Thanks for any responces.
Gallor1.
i would say a tuner is worth is...get some gears with it to

because you have a CAI, you should definatly invest in a computer tuner. not only will you get an HP gain, but some have options, to improve your MPG... look into it. good luck to you.

With the pre-05 mustangs a tuner is not a necessity with a CAI like it is with the 05+ cars. That being said I did pick up over 1/10th of a second in the 1/4mi with the canned sct 93oct tune. A tuner is a good idea.
Thanks everyone for your responces. I love being part of this Site. I think im going to buy gears first (3:73) and then the Tuner unless anyone sudgests different. What im really looking to acomplish with my GT is more thrust in lower RPMs. I mean I dont plan on racing or Dragging I just want more Ummph! and from what im hearing gears is the most cost effective and will give me what I want for a start..
Dominick.
they def are but the 4.10 will def give you the umph your looking for
