Default Help with 97 Cobra not wanting to start

I need a little help pinpointing why my 97 Cobra w/ 4.6l 4v is dying every once in awhile when starting. The motor is stock except for a BBK CAI and the car has 58K miles. When the problem happens either cold or hot motor it rev's up like normal when you start it and it just dies from there, even if you give it gas. After a few or sometimes a lot of attempts it will start normal and run fine. I've unplugged the MAF when it was having the problem and it still wouldn't start which I think would rule this out. Spark plugs look fine. I cleaned the throttle body with cleaner so it is clean. The IAT looks fine. For the life of me I cannot figure this out. Can anybody help with this or have experience with this happening with their car before??? No CEL either when it happens. Thank you.

Your battery might not be holding a charge and or the alternator is on it's way out and not charging the battery. Get both of these components tested.

Ok, It looks like I finally fixed the problem. I changed the throttle position sensor and haven't had anymore problems. Hopefully this helps someone else in the future. Thanks.
