i have a 1998 mustang Gt, i am putting together a 1998 cobra engine to swap in to it during winter. i also bought the cobra engine wiring harness. my question is what do i have to do about my engine computer? do i need to buy a 1998 cobra computer? or can i get mine reflashed to be like a cobra computer? or will mine work the way it is?
one more question, i want the intake butterflies (imrc) to work, is that possible? if so what do i need to do to make them work? i already have the imrc controller. anyone that has any knowledge of this is greatly needed.

i just did a similar swap. Used the computer that matched the motor and it worked fine.

did a 1986 5.0 gt into a toyota 4-runner (yeah im a redneck).
