1999-2004 Mustang Saleen Series IV blower information
If you have a Saleen Series IV and are trying to find out service information, you are probably having a difficult time locating information as I did 1 1/2 years ago when I bought my kit.
I will post below some of the things I have found out about this fun little Lysholm blower.

Saleen Series IV Twin Screw, Chicane I/C, AFCO Extreme H/E, 2.8" pulley, FMS 42# injectors, Dual Catted 2 1/2" UPR X Pipe, UPR LCAs/UCAs, 2 1/2" Flowmaster American Thunder kit, 90mm LMAF, 112" Goodyear Gatorback, Kenne Bell BAP, Mosaleen idler, T-56, Detroit TrueTrac w/ 373s, Demolet 100mm CAI, SCT XCal2 with JDM Engineering 93 Octane "Race" tune.
I have had my Saleen Series IV for about 1 1/2 years now and have learned some information along the way that may help others with the same setup or similar to mine.
(I know some of my posts are long winded, but I try to put out as much information as I can to prevent others from having to struggle to find things out themselves)
My S/C started leaking from the snout under the pulley. I did some research and found out that the oil level is supposed to be 3" from the bottom thread of the "fill" hole on top of the S/C. I was told to verify my oil level prior to replacing the snout seal as this was not a common failure. After 2-3 months of oil leaking, I found out that my oil level is STILL 1/8-1/4" too full when cold and this is a "HOT" measurement. This oil was factory filled, so it has always been overfilled.
There is no dipstick for these blowers when the kit is bought. I ordered one today from PSE.
If you don't have a dipstick on your blower you can take a popsickle stick and mark 2 marks on it. 1 about an inch below the top and the other 3" below that. Hold the stick from the side with the mark 1" below and dip it until that mark is even with the bottom threads of the fill hole. Do this with the engine hot. The proper oil level should be 3" to 3 1/4" at the most from that mark.
The supercharger oil is NYE #605 which I have a post about already. There are other synthetic 15-50 weight oils that will work, but this is what they are shipped with new.
It is recommended to change the oil every 2 yrs or 25k miles which ever is first, even if the oil looks clean.
The Series IV kits have belt slippage issues that also cause radiator hose failures. This post has a solution Scott came up with that I have run with no issues for about 8k miles now.
I recently added the Chicane I/C upgrade for my Series IV. My IAT temps driving home non boosted (heat soak) were around 135-150*F with an ambient temp of close to 85*F and this was only with the 5-6# stock pulley and stock I/C and H/E.
With the Chicane I/C installed with the 8# pulley, driving home in the same 85*F weather, my IAT were 107-118* even with a few WOT pulls. This morning with an ambient temp of 61*F, the IAT temps were between 89-93*F all the way to work with 2 lane highway and interstate travel from speeds of 40mph to 80 mph. IAT stayed within 4*F.
This is incredible taking into account that I lowered my IATs considerably even after adding the smaller 8-9# pulley!
My next test will be to install the 03-04 Cobra style AFCO extreme dual pass H/E on my car to see if I can lower the IATs even more.

I post most of the Saleen Series IV tech I have collected and learned on Modularfords.com
and open-throttleracing.com My screen name on those forums is the same as here "GRN 00 GT".
I like to help others since this blower is misunderstood and does not receive the credit it deserves.

Reason: removed duplicate wording
I recently installed the AFCO Extreme Dual Pass 03-04 Cobra Heat Exchanger on my car with a bottle of water wetter and then IATs seem to drop much quicker after boost runs now. I also got rid of the 2 loud Saleen cooling fans as well.
The car seems to like the smaller pulley, more aggressive tune, upgraded Chicane intercooler and AFCO heat exchanger.

A buddy with a built engine is getting his dyno numbers soon. I will ask him to post in this thread. He has the Saleen S4 with the 2.8" pulley and 10% overdrive crank pulley.

That is some real good info to have at someones hand. I have the series II blower. Chicane is a good place to get info about the saleen cars. The owner used to work there.

Whats up guys! Chip told me about this thread when we talked a while ago, and I finally got around to finding it.
I got my motor built over the winter. Bored .020 over, Steel Crank, H Beam Rods, Manley Pistons, Ported Heads, Blower cams, and a few other things. I have full Bolt-ons, 3.73 gears, a 2.8" pulley, 7.5" crank, Idler, Chicane Intercooler, and a few other goodies.
When I was getting my tune worked on, I maxed my fuel on the current setup, 14* of timing and a solid 11.4 A/F cross the board. 440/435 is what I put down, in 90+ degree heat.
Got my new fuel system in this week, and all I need to do is install it, Will be running 18* of timing and 11.4/11.6 A/F so I should pick up quite a bit of power Oh yea, and I will also be spraying a shot of the good stuff
Should have some info for you guys within the next week or so! Happy to be on board with you guys!
*DROOOOLLLLLING on keyboard* I want to do that SOOOO BAD!
A local guy built my motor that use to work for our Family business. Very very knowledgable about the 4.6/5.0 motors
He hooked me up with a great price, and was took him less then a month ..... I've read threads and have talked to people ordering from MMR, DSS, SHM, that have taken WELL over a month.
I used my stock motor, and built it up. The rotating assembly is ModMax, but I uppgraded to the better pistons, etc. 03' Cobra crank is what Im running. Heads are ported to a stage 1/2 combo, and Im running a custom grinded blower cam for the supercharger/nitrous
I'm HOPING, for 450 or 475 on blower... If I can get in that range I will be happy. On the jug, thats a different story . My HP will go up, but I have a feeling my TQ is going to go through the roof. It should run pretty good due to cooling everything down in this horrible STL heat
