Angry Mustang problem

I have a 96' Mustang coupe. We hit a deer in it and it didn't really hurt the car busted the headlight and deployed the air bags we drove it about 8miles to get to a safe spot to park it to get it towed home.. I shut it off now i can't get it 2 start it sounds like the starter is not kickin in so i had it tested and they said it was good it seems like it wants to roll over some times but will not start. I was just wanting to know if anyone had any clue whats wrong and why it wont start if anyone has a ideal please let me know I dont really have the money to take it to the shop so iam tryin to fix it myself thanks..

Default starting

first check all fuses just to make shure none are blown. if the battery is good and you know for shure check the wire to the starter make shure you done have high resistance. also you can try spinning the engine with a braker bar of ratchet from the crank pully to make shure nothing is wrong with the engine itself. check these first and let me know if you find anything for further help good luck

Not exactly sure on the problem. Need more info? If it will not turn over then either your relay or you conn to battery are bad. Can you give more details on the sadi problem/sounds?

You might have to reset the fuel pump breaker in the trunk. Sometimes after a bump or collision that will flip off.

Also try disconnecting the battery for a half hour, the computer may have thrown the pats on.

Default Battery

By all means, try what 366 suggested - disconnect the negative battery terminal so that the computer will re-set. Also check the battery connections - a hard whack will dislodge them, particularly if the battery is close to the point of impact or is not firmly secured in its perch. Its also possible that the cables and harness leading to and from the battery might have been damaged, for the same reason.

Is your CEL (check engine light) on?

Check your trouble codes, and post them up here if you find some.

Check and make sure no connections came off the coil packs and plug wires from the jolt. I don't think your problem has anything to do with the inertia switch, the car kept running after the impact. Also check your injector connections. Those little plastic clips aren't the most incredible fasteners in the world. Pull the plugs and see if there are any trying to fire or if they're all wet with fuel.
