i thinking about at some point in the future putting a 4 point , maybe an 8 point , it all depends on how much destruction is involved to the int. anyway my car is a 2000gt vert , leather int. has anyone attempted this install.
For a cage it really depends on who does the install, I've seen some 4 point installs that were completely butchered and some 10 points that looked like they came that way from the factory. You need to find someone who has experience doing it with mustangs and decide what you need for your goals, its a ***** to install a cage properly and won't be cheap, but get it done right. You might look to full length subframes first depending on what mods you have and are planning, what is your current setup and what do you plan to do in the future?

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's
I have a 99 Cobra with a 6 point cage. The door bars swing out and it has the 5 point harness bar on it. I love it! You get much respect pulling up to a light. Oh and the safety is a plus too, lol. It will stiffen up the body quite a bit too. Just make sure you do it with the 6" welded in plates. Attached is a link to the only pic I have that really shows it at all.
C&L 80mm mass air and True Flow pipe, Mac CAI, BBK 65mm tb, Steeda non-piggy back ud pulleys, MGW shifter, RAM HD clutch and aluminum flywheel, 3:73 gears, 2.5" Dynomax o/r x pipe, 3" MAC cat back system w/ 3 1/2" tips, Kenny Brown(front and rear strut tower brace, caster plates, subframe connectors, extreme matrix brace, jacking rails, torque brace, lowering springs), Bilstein shocks, 03-04 Cobra(side scoops, rear bumper cover, top), 6pt roll cage, white FR500's, FMS 2000 Cobra R air dam.
hey mike , first off the white on white is a kickass combo . it is going to be probably be my next color. i was thinking of all white with white fr500's , ive never seen one that combo until i just saw yours . anyway the rollcage looks tuff . so the door bars move out of the way ? looks like it was dropped down ? did you do the install ? thanx bro

Thanks. SVP Unlimited owner Paul Becker came up with the idea of white FR500's. Then Jason Nance, his shop manager painted them. They are awesome. Yes the doors swing out, and the 5 point harness bar is removable. The drivers side comes with 2 bars, one high bar and one low bar(only 1 can be in at a time though). The low bar is even with the seat bottom. I usually leave that one in cause it's easier to get out. It is dropped, Kenny Brown progressive rate springs(2" drop I think). And No I didn't do the cage. A company called Springfield Motorsports in DC did it.
