Default Electronic Cut-Outs and Dyno Tuned

Well we unbolted the cat back after my off road H-pipe. Let me tell you how good the car sounded, and how loud it was. Had fun running around like that this weekend too.

Turned many many a heads scared many a rice rockets. The problem hear being out 4.6 motor likes its back pressure, I must have lost between 5-15hp from my bottom end. But at higher speeds of above 80 I noticed an increase in accelaration.

Here is what I'd like to do, I would like to find some electronic cut-outs, I know they make them, but I can't find any.

Then I'd like to take it to a dyno tune, have them dnyo the car, with the cut out closed, then with it open.

Line up the two and determine the best place for the cut-outs to open at the correct speed and RPM in my powerband. to increase power.

And so I can manually open it to scare the crap outta old people, and rice rockets

What do you think of this idea? And anyone know were I can find a Mustang electronic cut-out?

I know my buddy has one on his 98 SS. I can ask him what brand. I know Flowtech makes some, QTP, and a few others.

Thatsounds like a plan, but an expensive one. I can only imagine the looks on the ricers faces around Va Beach. I know they cower when I hit the loud pedal in mine at intersections. They also get real scared when I roll through first to about 3 grand and rev to 5 grand before dumping the clutch into second. The rear end steps out a foot or two and smoke just pours off the tires.

Couldn't of been as loud as that str8 H-pipe I road around with all weekend. It was like a freaking pro-drag car. Just nasty nasty. Scared alot of people, and annoyingly loud.

I LOVED IT!

I wonder if those electronic ones can be programmed to open at a certain throttle position and/or engine speed. Any tech pros out there with experience doing this??

I've never done that but for the rpm thing all you would need to do is buy an MSD rpm switch and a relay. Shouldn't be too hard.

I got to take my car with just longtubes also across town to the muffler shop. I went by my friends house and hit the rev limiter. It was at 6:30 a.m. and lets just say he was wide awake after that.
