have a question about off road pipe, when taking your car to the dealer
I was just wondering if you take your car to the dealer to get worked on and it has the off road pipe on, are there any chances that they could report your car to whoever, i dont know who it would be but since it is illegal to be on the road, is there something they can do to report you, or is it that they really dont care. Since some states dont play when it comes to your cats being off. I live in Maryland and as far i know we dont have inspections other then when someone buys a used car.

I have the same setup on my car. There is always a chance that they COULD report you...I have never ran into a dealership that really did that..or wanted to get in the middle of all that. Remember they ARE in the business of bringing customers back....and making money so more likely than not.... you are safe. I would get to know the service manager well enough.... and just be like "listen...here is my setup".... is it cool to get my car serviced here? Will you guys take care of me?" etc...ya know what I mean? I live in Huntington, WV and used to be in Pittsburgh PA, and never ran into any problems....
By the way... did you notice and weird hesitation or misfire type feeling after you put your H pipe on? I am experiencing something like that...almost feels like a wet spark plug or something.... but I was just wondering.

I dont know about misfiring but it has been hesitatiing on me or at least when i take my foot of the car or try to bring it to cruising speed then it starts to like hesitate and jerk and then when i step on the gas it goes away. And also at idle my rpm's go up and down when i am sitting still. But all of this happened after i got the x-pipe on. It kinda has the feeling of some bad plugs or if the wire was loose on one of them. Thats why i want to get a tune up plus i have a lot of miles on it and i dont know if has ever had a tune up on it, because it was bought with 53,000 on it last May and i have 83,000 on it now. that is one reason I was thinking about the dealer becuase they were cheaper and closer to me then the speed shop.
