Does it hurt to carve your maf for increased airflow, does it work?

I this this mod on my 97gt per the instructions i found under the tech articles section on The Corral.In my case i havent had any problems after doing the mod but I seen a lot of other post from people that have had problems,so i think it is up to you if you want to try it,what i would do is try to find one in the junk yard and try it on that one.

keep in mind that changing the airflow thru the MAF will also change the calibration of the MAF.If you port the MAF then get it re-calibrated you could make it run poorly.
