I plan on getting my trans flushed this week and I want to buy the fluid myself. What kind should I get and how much. Ive read that royal purple is the best, but whats the deal with this mercon and mercon V stuff? I just wanna know what to pick up from the parts store this afternoon. Thanks!

If your going to use Royal Purple, just make sure it conforms to what is called for or you'll be in for problems. Any good transmission shop, should have the machine to flush it. Just tell them you want to use your own fluid, and they will tell you how much you'll need, Mike.SCT Tuner.
